Hey, guys hope you are doing well. Today I am going to tell you about popularly consumable food in India and the whole world, it is chapatis(Indian bread). Generally, its main ingredient is whole wheat flour but some people have gluten intolerance issue so they prefer banjaras or oats bread.

But here I am going to tell you about whole wheat flour rotis, its benefits, nutritional facts, gluten, quantity, and side effects. So bear with me till the end.

It contains 340 calories, 2.5 gram of fats, 72 gram of carbohydrates, 13.6 gram of wheat protein.
It is a great source of vitamins like B1, B2, B3, B6, and B9.
In addition to that, it is also a great source of minerals like iron, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium.

Benefits of eating chapatis

– It contains the higher amount of fiber which makes roti complex carbohydrates
– It contains essential vitamins and minerals which is required for our body’s proper functioning
– It reduced the risk of colon cancer( a type of cancer occurs in the digestive system)

How many chapatis you can eat per day?

It depends upon your personal need but in my suggestion as it is high in carbohydrate so you can eat up to 4 chapatis a day. Now some people would say I eat 8 chapatis and I am totally fine. Then I want to tell them no consequences can be seen in a day, it takes a lot of time to damage your internal digestive system. So I am suggesting for a long period of time eating much can damage your digestive system.

What is gluten?

Gluten is a protein found in many whole grains Including wheat, It means the chapatis you eat generally contains gluten.
Benefits of gluten
Gluten is a great source of plant-based protein. It also feeds good bacteria of our body and that bacteria reduces the risk of inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer, and irritable bowel syndrome.

The side effect of gluten

There are many individuals who are gluten intolerance, you might be among gluten intolerance person. It happens because, in some individual, body sense gluten as toxins and body defensive system that is immune system start fighting against it and due to this warzone, body might able to face digestive diseases like bloating, gas, upsetting of stomach etc.
In case you are gluten intolerance, I advise you to use gluten-free wheat or chose that grains that are gluten-free.
However, gluten intolerance is not so common. So you don’t need to worry too much.
In case you get a celiac disease (disease like bloating, diarrhea etc cause when immune system fights with gluten). Then I advise you to take a gluten-free diet.
However, there are some whole grains which are gluten-free like quinoa,brown rice, red rice, oats etc. which you can eat and get proper nutrition out of it.
